The thematic exhibition Spring – The origin of victory opened on January 6 at the Vietnam National Museum of History in Hanoi, featuring over 150 photographs, documents, and valuable artifacts that underscore the leadership role of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the ideology of Ho Chi Minh, and the power of national solidarity.

The exhibition marks several major milestones: the 80th anniversary of the Vietnamese National Assembly (January 6, 1946 – January 6, 2026), the 85th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s return to the homeland (January 28, 1941 – January 28, 2026), and the 96th anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 – February 3, 2026).

The display, titled Spring – The origin of victory, presents more than 150 historical images and artifacts that celebrate foundational elements in the success of Vietnam’s revolutionary movement throughout the 20th century and into the 21st: the Party's leadership, Ho Chi Minh's ideology, and the strength of a united people.

Structured in three sections-Revolutionary Spring, Independent Spring, and Aspiring Spring-the exhibition guides visitors through transformational springtime events in the nation’s history.

The first section reconstructs the atmosphere of the early 20th century and emphasizes the significance of Spring 1930, when the Communist Party of Vietnam was founded. This moment ended the crisis of national salvation ideology and set Vietnam on the path of a correct revolutionary course.

Another defining moment was Spring 1941, when Nguyen Ai Quoc (later known as President Ho Chi Minh) returned to Vietnam and led the revolutionary movement from Pac Bo in Cao Bang province, laying the groundwork for the August Revolution of 1945.

The second section focuses on the historic spring of 1945–1946, featuring the triumph of the August Revolution, the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, the Independence Day ceremony on September 2, 1945, and the first national general election held on January 6, 1946. Artifacts such as ballot boxes, voter cards, election decrees, and a collection of Ho Chi Minh’s banknotes vividly depict the process of building a government by the people and for the people.

The third section reflects nearly 40 years of national renovation since the 6th Party Congress in 1986. Through congress documents and recent strategic resolutions, this section conveys Vietnam’s long-term vision for rapid, sustainable development in a new era. A highlight is the interactive space titled Sending dreams – Sowing aspirations, designed to bridge the past, present, and future.

The exhibition Spring – The origin of victory is open to the public from January 6 through July 2026. It aims to foster national pride, reinforce public trust, and inspire the spirit of contribution in this new spring of the nation.
