VietNamNet Bridge – The Advisory Council for Administrative Procedure Reform will be led by Minister of Justice Ha Hung Cuong.
The 26-member Council is responsible for proposing initiatives for reforming administrative regulations regarding business activities and daily life and evaluating the progress of administrative procedure reform of ministries, agencies and localities.
Earlier on June 23, 2008, the Minister-Chairman of the Office of Government had established the same council which functioned as the representative of business circle, scientists, associations to submit ideas for administrative procedure reform.
However, to ensure the effectiveness of the Office of Government’s council, the Prime Minister on February 28, 2013 decided to set up the 26-member Council.
Administrative reform is always among key tasks to build up a transparent, professional and effective administrative system, said Deputy PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc.
He urged members of the new Council to maintain an objective and precise stance and contacts with the public to secure the efficiency of administrative reform.
