According to schedule, five award-winning films from Morocco, Burkina Faso, Senegal, and Rwanda will be screened for free at the National Documentary and Scientific Film Studio at 465 Hoang Hoa Tham street in the capital. All films are said to have subtitles in Vietnamese, English, and French.
This event will provide Hanoian moviegoers with an insight into the natural landscapes and people of Africa.
This is the third such festival to be co-organised by the Embassies of Morocco in Vietnam, the International Organisation of La Francophonie (OIF)’s Asia-Pacific Office, the Wallonie-Bruxelles delegation to Vietnam, and the French Institute in Vietnam.
The first festival was held locally in 2022.
Launched in 1969, FESPACO has developed into one of the largest African festivals. It takes place biennially in Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso.
