Also in Cat Hai District, a tourist boat, two fishing boats, a service boat and 15 basket boats were sunk and 26 seafood cages were damaged. Powerful waves also damaged 3 km of sea dike, many embankments, over 100 houses, two schools and 30 salt stocks.

In Thai Binh province, on the evening of October 28, a coal boat with ten people on board had its anchor broken at the Tra Ly port, losing contact.
An oil rig with 35 workers (21 Vietnamese and 14 foreigners) is still drifting on the sea. This morning, the rig was four nautical miles from Ha Mai Island in Hai Phong city. Due to strong waves, three tugboats could not access to the rig.
