VietNamNet Bridge – A married woman of 27 years old and a high-school boy were detected to have committed suicide in the room of a motel in the southern province of Bac Lieu on April 30.

The boy, 19, died. The women was transported to the Cho Ray Hospital in HCM City for treatment on May 1, reported Bac Lieu’s police agency.

At 6pm of April 30, Ms. Nguyen Le Ha, manager of a motel in Bac Lieu city, went to a local police station to report about a couple who hired a room in the morning of April 29, but they had not left the room since then. The motel’s staff had doubt and knocked at the door but they did not answer.

Local police broke the door and detected that the young man was dead while the woman had fainted. There were many boxes of sleeping pills around them.

The dead victim has been identified as a 12th grade student of a high school in Bac Lieu.

The woman’s husband told police that they have two children. Two months ago, he discovered his wife’s love affair with the high-school boy. On April 21, the woman left her home and sent text message to apologize her husband. She asked for the man’s forgiving and requested him to take care of their two children.

It is highly possible that this couple, with a wide age gap, committed suicide as the way to deal with their problem.

Bac Lieu police are investigating the case.
