Asia's largest low-cost airline group AirAsia on March 4 announced that it would permanently withdraw tickets for its flights from online tourism platform Traveloka as flights for AirAsia Indonesia have disappeared from the site for the second time in the past two weeks.

AirAsia Indonesia CEO Dendy Kurniawan said in a statement that the omission of its flights had damaged the relationship between AirAsia and Traveloka.

“Traveloka has not acted in good faith. They have refused to provide an official explanation despite our repeated attempts to seek their clarification,” Kurniawan remarked, adding that the exclusion of several AirAsia Indonesia flights by Traveloka was a clear display of preferential treatment and an act of favoritism.

According to social media messages, Traveloka had recommended customers book other airlines instead when they enquired about the unavailability of AirAsia flights.

AirAsia flights first disappeared from Traveloka between February 14 and 17, coinciding with AirAsia’s network-wide system upgrade on Feb 16.

Traveloka attributed the disappearance of AirAsia flights from its website for 13 hours to AirAsia’s system downtime.

However, AirAsia flights disappeared from Traveloka once again on March 2 without clarification after the airline had successfully upgraded its system.

Customers who have bought AirAsia’s tickets on Traveloka can visit the website bit.ly/extBooking to register for extra baggage, purchase in-flight meals and choose seats.

Those who wish to change their flights or information should contact AirAsia’s customer care center or access the website support.airasia.com.
