This official said that the Da Nang Hi-tech Park has prepared land for the Korean investor.

Earlier, in 2010, Korea Aerospace Industries, European Aerospace Defense Group (EADS) and Airbus Industrie Information (AIB) made a survey in Da Nang to build an industrial zone producing aviation equipment.

The project to manufacture Airbus aircraft components in Da Nang will be the second project in the field of aviation in Vietnam, after the plant to assembly and manufacture flaps for the Boeing Group of the MHI Aerospace (Japan) in the Thang Long Industrial Zone, which was put into operation in 2009.

The Da Nang Hi-tech Zone was established in October 2010, with seven functional areas and a total area of 1,130 hectares. Recently, the Da Nang People's Committee has issued preferential policies for projects in the high-tech zone, such as start-up businesses will be exempted from income tax for four years since they have taxable income and 50 percent of income tax in the next nine years, etc.

The Republic of Korea is the second largest investor in Da Nang in terms of the total number of projects and registered capital among 30 countries and territories investing in this central city. Korean investment in Da Nang is mainly in the areas of real estate, processing industry, manufacturing, textile and footwear...

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Korea in Vietnam (Korcham) said that Korean investors are moving away from outsourcing to manufacture high-tech products in Vietnam, and the space industry is one of them.
