Female Ambassadors of New Zealand, Norway, Canada and Switzerland have visited the Temple of Literature in Hanoi and wished all Vietnamese people, especially girls and women a cozy traditional Tet and a happy New Year as the Lunar New Year is approaching.

In a video clip lately shared by the New Zealand Embassy in Hanoi, Canadian Ambassador Ping Kitnikone said that women is the foundation of a family and a country and strong and happy women are able to create a strong and happy society.

The Ambassador held that as Vietnam is preparing for the traditional Tet, she wishes Vietnamese people, especially responsible women who are firm rear of families, a happy and prosperous New Year.

Emphasizing that women’s equal engagement in economics, and politics is a key to a better future for all people, Norwegian Ambassador Siren Gjerme Eriksen hoped that 2018 would see more opportunities for women and girls.

Meanwhile, wishing a prosperous New Year for Vietnam and its people, especially wonderful Vietnamese women, Swiss Ambassador Beatrice Maser stressed that Vietnamese women in happiness means a prosperous Vietnam. “Happy New Year”, she joyfully said.

or her part, New Zealand Ambassador Wendy Matthews wished that in the Year of the Dog, more Vietnamese and New Zealand women would take leadership posts, especially in sports, politics, trade, education and press.

“Wish all of you a safe, sound and prosperous Lunar New Year”, Ambassador Wendy Matthews said.

After sending Tet wishes to all Vietnamese people, these female ambassadors visited calligraphers and asked for the script they liked.

The New Zealand Ambassador selected “Tri” (Wisdom) script with a hope that in the New Year of the Dog, minorities in Vietnam will be wise to respect, encourage, and support women and girls, so as they could make full advantage of their potentials.

Choosing “Manh me” (Strong) script, the Norwegian Ambassador expected strong Vietnamese women’s important contributions to the families and society would be fully recognized in the year.

Wishing Vietnam prosperity and Vietnamese people peace and happiness, the Swiss and Canadian Ambassadors asked for “Prosperity” and “Peace” scripts.
