VietNamNet Bridge – Three American DJs - Shaheed Muhammad, Shortkut and Maseo – will perform in HCM City during their Southeast Asian tour. Maseo is a member of the legendary De La Soul hiphop troupe.

Maseo or Vincent Mason, 42, is a rapper, producer, DJ and one third of hip hop group, De La Soul. Formed in Long Island, New York in the mid-1980s, De La Soul is a hip-hop phenomenon consisting of Kelvin Mercer, David Jude Jolicoeur and Vincent Mason.
At the time of its 1989 release, De La Soul's debut album, 3 Feet High and Rising, was hailed as the future of hip-hop. De La Soul quickly were perceived as the leaders of a contingent of New York-based alternative rappers.
"Me, Myself and I" became a Top 40 pop hit in the U.S. (number one R&B), while the album reached number 24 (number one R&B) and went gold. At the end of the year, 3 Feet High and Rising topped many best-of-the-year lists, including The Village Voice's.
In 2006, De La Soul won the Grammy for Feel Good Inc, a joint product with Gorillaz.
Ali Shaheed Muhammad, 42, is an American hip hop DJ, rapper, producer who enjoyed a great deal of fame as a member of A Tribe Called Quest. With Q-Tip and Phife Dawg, the group released five studio albums from 1990 to 1998.
After the group disbanded, Muhammad formed the R&B supergroup Lucy Pearl with Dawn Robinson, formerly of En Vogue and Raphael Saadiq, formerly of Tony! Toni! Toné!, releasing one album in 2000. On October 12, 2004 he released his debut solo album, Shaheedullah and Stereotypes.
Shortkut is the founder-member of three famous DJ groups in the US: Invisible Skratch Pickles, World Famous Beat Junkies and Triple Threat.
Shortkut claimed numerous titles in music. His talent has taken him to almost every continent, and has allowed him to visit exciting countries including Denmark, Japan, Italy, Switzerland, England, Sweden, France, Germany, Belgium, Holland, etc.
The three well-known DJs are on their “Breathe and Stop” tour to the five most busiest cities in Southeast Asia.
In HCM City, their show will be held at Lush Bar on August 11, from 9pm until 2am. The show will have the participation of many Vietnamese artists.
“Breathe and Stop” was launched in Bangkok, Thailand on August 4, then Kuala Lumpur on August 10. After Vietnam, three DJs will go to Singapore on August 16 and Manila, Philippines on August 18.
