VietNamNet Bridge – Joan Jonas, an American visual artist and pioneer of video and performance art, will host a presentation at The Factory Contemporary Arts Centre on February 12.

Jonas, one of the most important female artists to emerge in the late 1960s and early 1970s, will share her experiences and views on society through contemporary art.

The presentation will also feature Phan Thao Nguyen, a multimedia artist of HCM City, who uses painting, installation, video and performance to depict historical and contemporary concepts.

Nguyen, who has studied with Jonas in a 10-month arts course, will discuss her interaction with the artist.
