At about 10pm on Saturday, border guards patrolling waterways in Khanh An Commune, An Phu District, discovered a motorboat travelling from Cambodia to the Hau River in Vietnam. The border guards spotted people on the vessel carrying bags from the boat to a buildings belonging to a farmer named Tran Van Xuyen in Thanh Phu Village.

On searching the store, the border guards saw that the bags did not have trademarks, and contained refined sugar.

None of the suspects admitted to owning the sugar.

The sugar was moved to the Long Binh Border Guards station for further investigation.
