An Giang: Nearly 100 government officers use fake diplomas

The authorities of the southern province of An Giang have detected over 96 officials in An Phu and Thoai Son districts as using fake high-school diplomas.

According to the Inspectorate of An Giang Party Committee, 52 officials in An Phu and 44 in Thoai Son committed this offence. Most of them are leaders of People’s Committees and Party Committees of communes and towns.

The Party Committee of Thoai Son district has penalized 16 officials and it is considering the remaining cases.

These officials have high-school diplomas granted by schools in many southwestern provinces, Ba Ria-Vung Tau and HCM City, but inspection showed that these are fake diplomas.

Many officials in the southern provinces of Soc Trang and Bac Lieu have also detected to use fake diplomas.
