Dong Du village is situated in Dang Cuong commune of An Duong district in Hai Phong. The village is home to over 600 peach growing households which are expected to provide roughly 3,500 peach trees to the local market.
Ancient peach trees from Dong Du village are highly-sought after products by customers from throughout northern mountainous provinces such as Moc Chau and Lang Son, in addition to neighbouring localities including Thai Binh, Hung Yen, Hai Duong, Thai Nguyen, and Thanh Hoa.
Ancient trees from Dong Du village are often rented by families, companies, and agencies in the build up to Tet. The rental price of each tree ranges from VND5 million to VND15 million.

Due to the warm and sunny weather conditions in recent months, gardeners In Dong Du have been able to turn the root of peaches since the end of November in the lunar calendar, "braking" the development of the trees and creating new rooting layers in the process. Due to the warm weather conditions that have occurred this year, peach growers in Dong Du village have been seeking ways in which to slow down the process of blooming so that peach blossoms can bloom just ahead of Tet.
