The animals, including 11 snakes, two wildcats, and 55 monkeys were either handed over or rescued while being illegal transported, traded or kept in household captivity.

Bai Tu Long National Park was named the 38th ASEAN Heritage Park, meeting all necessary criteria, including ecological integrity, representativeness, nature, preservation, management and conservation plan and legality.
Over the years, Bai Tu Long National Park has saved, taken care of and released to the nature more than 200 forest animals and five sea turtles.
It has also worked with international organisations to implement projects like sea turtle preservation, enhancing management capacity and biodiversity conservation and supporting eco-tourism development and environmental education.
