Specifically, Xiamen Airlines’ flight numbered MF869 made use of a Boeing 737-800 aircraft to bring 169 passengers to Noi Bai International Airport after departing from the Chinese city of Xiamen.

The flight marks the start of the regular international commercial Xiamen-Hanoi route from April 18.

The Xiamen-Hanoi route is to be operated by Xiamen Airlines with a frequency of four return flights per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays, with the flight time from Xiamen to Hanoi being about two hours 30 minutes.

Xiamen Airlines represents the second international airline after Starlux Airlines this year to open a new regular route to Hanoi, making the capital one of the safest and most attractive destinations in the world to tourists.

Following the launch of the new route, Xiamen Airlines is one of five airlines that have established air routes connecting Hanoi with China.

By the end of April there will be additional airline which restore flights to China, while a new airline will open flights to Hong Kong (China).

Currently, there are a total of 52 international and domestic airlines operating at Noi Bai International Airport, linking Hanoi to 59 international destinations and 18 domestic destinations.
