Chief government inspector Huynh Phong Tranh.
In the past five years, we have issued hundreds of by-law documents on corruption prevention.
We have also widely diffused information and knowledge about anti-corruption to the people and the society to raise their awareness of corruption.
Particularly, the press has quickly informed the society of anti-corruption task, which has made effective effects on citizens’ awareness and also anti-corruption bodies.
The detection and dealing with corruption cases is more effective and timely. Though fighting corruption is a difficult field but at some level, we have been more brave in preventing corruption and have initially built people’s trust on the government’s anti-corruption effort.
We have also established specialized agencies on anti-corruption, which work as the think tank for the Party and government in combating corruption.
After completing the legal system on anti-corruption, what will we do?
After the 10th dialogue, we will review the five year implementation of the Law on Anti-corruption and prepare to review the implementation of the 3rd Resolution on Anti-corruption and the UN Convention on Anti-corruption. This will be the largest mission in 2012.
We will also call for stronger participation of the people and society in preventing and fighting corruption. We will expand the approach to information of the media, the people and local governments.
Relevant agencies are focusing on investigating and dealing with corruption cases which were brought to light.
The Government Inspectorate’s Anti-corruption Department is the staff agency to the government and the Central Steering Board on Anti-corruption in building regulations and standards on anti-corruption.
