VietNamNet Bridge - Displaying more than 200 antiques of 21 Vietnamese collectors, the wine cellar of City Star Hotel on Bui Thi Xuan Street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City has become a miniature museum, attracting not only the antique circle but also antique lovers.

The ideal space was created by hotel owner Nguyen Van Sy and his friends - antique collectors nationwide who share a great passion for antiques. It is the place for them to meet with each other, exchange experiences and preserve valuable antique objects.

Visiting the place, antique enthusiasts will be charmed by a world of different objects made from rock, copper, wood, ceramic, pottery and ivory.

They include objects used in the palaces of Trinh Lords and kings in the Nguyen Dynasty which were made from China with labels of “Khanh Xuan Thi Ta” and “Noi Phu Thi Trung”, and ancient objects collected from every corner of the country such as excavated antiques and those from sunk ships in Cham Isle, Hoi An and Cau Island in Vung Tau.

Most of the antiques belong to Dong Son Culture and the dynasties of Ly, Tran, Le and Nguyen, from the 3rd century to the middle of the 20th century.

The cellar also displays modern pottery products from the South in the 20th century such as Cay Mai, Lai Thieu and Bien Hoa.

With the arrangement of antique objects and the use of light that highlights the beauty and value of every object, the City Star Hotel’s cellar brings viewers a visual feast so that it attracts much attention from the antique circle both at home and abroad.
