Ao Dai fashion show promotes Vietnamese culture in Australia
Ao Dai (the traditional Vietnamese long dress) inspired by the landscapes of both Vietnam and Australia are presented at a fashion show which is underway from May 13 to May 17 in New South Wales and Victoria.
The Ao Dai fashion show is one part of the Roadshow Vietnam-Ho Chi Minh City Tourism in Australia which is running from May 13 to May 17 in the states of New South Wales and Victoria. The event is jointly organised by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism and the Embassy of Vietnam in Australia.
An Ao Dai collection by designer Trung Dinh consists of 14 outfits featuring famous sightseeing spots and architectural sites of both Vietnam and Australia.
Present at the event are Ngoc Chau, Miss Universe Vietnam 2023, and Xuan Hanh, Miss Cosmo Vietnam 2023, who work as ambassadors of the Roadshow Vietnam-Ho Chi Minh City Tourism in Australia.
The fashion show also draws the participation of many international models.
The Roadshow VN-HCM City Tourism in Australia contributes to creating new opportunities specifically for Vietnamese travel businesses seeking to meet Australian partners, including outbound tour operators, travel agencies, MICE operators, and media outlets as they gather to both share and discuss tourism co-operation possibilities.
All designs featured in this fashion collection are made from Vietnamese traditional materials such as silk.
Moving forward, local designer Trung Dinh will continue to introduce his Ao Dai collection in Osaka on May 18 as part of the Ho Chi Minh City Days in Japan.
