At the presser, it was announced a fashion show at the festival will feature 30 of the country’s top models who will showcase designs by Si Hoang, Thuan Viet and Vo Viet Chung. 

The event is organized by the HCM City Department of Culture and Sports.

It will include an exhibition at the Ao Dai Museum and two open-air music and song programs starring Dong Nhi, Huong Tram and Noo Phuoc Thinh.

More than 40 clothing and textile manufacturers and fashion houses have signed on to sponsor the two-day festival.

A bevy of activities including an Ao Dai design contest will transpire at the Youth Cultural House.

Dozens of photo and painting exhibitions on Ao Dai will take place at universities and cultural centres throughout the city.

Hopefully, says Linh, the festival will attract more than the 50,000 visitors that came out for last year’s event.
