VietNamNet Bridge – The sixth National Youth Archery Championships 2011 is scheduled to kick off in the southern province of Vinh Long tomorrow, Aug 5.

The tournament draws the participation of 70 athletes and 20 coaches from nine teams across the country.


Participants will compete in both recurve (one-stringed bow) and compound (three-stringed bow) disciplines for single and team events. Archers in the men's event will compete at distances of 18, 30, 50, 70 and 90m, while female competitors will shoot from 18, 30, 50, 60 and 70m.


The event, which is organised by the Viet Nam Shooting Federation in coordination with the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, will last until next Friday.
