The two players were summoned to the Spanish national tea on June 4, and since then they have been training with the team until the end of the 2013 Confederation Cup. The Spanish duo will only have less than two weeks after playing the final game of the 2012-2013 season with Arsenal.
At the last gathering with the Spanish team, Cazorla played four games against Haiti, Republic of Ireland, Uruguay and Tahiti, in which he scored a goal against Haiti. Nacho Monreal also played two matches against Haiti and Tahiti.
If the two players join the Asian tour, they will have to be at the Arsenal training camp from this week. As such, they will hardly have time to rest and recover for the new season. So, Coach Arsene Wenger is likely to allow them to rest from now until early August to have enough strength for the new season.
Except for the two aforementioned players, Arsenal will bring its most of its top names to Vietnam.
Santi Cazorla is considered a pillar in the middle of Arsenal and the best player of Arsenal in the last season. Nacho Monreal appeared only in the second half of the season but he made great contribution to the achievements of Arsenal in the Premier League’s top four.
