VietNamNet Bridge – The prices for tickets to watch Arsenal’s matches in Japan and Indonesia are only from $10-$70, compared to $20-$70 in Vietnam.
10,000 tickets for VN-Arsenal match sold out in one day
The Indonesian organizers of the match between Dream Team and Arsenal have announced the ticket prices for the game at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium (Jakarta) with five levels: 100,000 rupiah (approximately VND200,000 or $10); 200,000 rupiah (VND400,000 or $20); 300,000 rupiah (VND600,000 or $30); VND550,000 rupiah (VND1.1 million or $50); and 750.000 rupiah (VND1.5 million or $70).
The prices for the game of Arsenal in Indonesia are equal or lower than the prices for the Vietnam-Arsenal game, with four levels: VND400,000 ($20), VND700,000 ($30), VND1 million ($50)and VND1.5 million ($70).
At the same time, the prices for the game of Arsenal in Japan include five levels, in which the lowest price for groups of 5 or more is 1,500 yen (VND300,000 or $15). Other prices are 3,000 yen (VND600,000 or $30), 4,000 yen (VND800,000 or $40), 5,000 yen (VND1 million or $50), 7,000 yen (VND1.4 million or $65) and 8,000 yen (VND1.6 million or $80).
The highest price in Japan is a little higher than that in Vietnam, but if you compare the average income between the two countries, it is ten times higher in Japan. Thus, this price is still acceptable for Japanese fans.
Vietnam does not have big stadiums to be able to sell tickets at lower prices. The Gelora Bung Karno Stadium can host up to 80,000 people, doubling that of Vietnam’s My Dinh stadium so even they sell tickets at lower prices, they can earn more revenue than the Vietnamese organizers.
In related news, the Vietnamese organizers will begin selling the remaining 3,000 tickets today, July 10.
The Vietnam Football Federation’s Vice Secretary General--Nguyen Minh Chau, said the tickets would be delivered by Con Kien Company through two channels: selling directly to fans at Hang Day Stadium and No. 59 Hoang Cau, Hanoi and through number 1080.
