More than 100 photographs on the amazing beauty of Vietnam by photographer Pham Hong Thang will be showcased in the 360o Panorama Exhibition at the Sofitel Plaza Hanoi hotel from June 28 to July 28.
He is particularly pleased to show some pictures from the Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago.
Viewers will have the opportunity to view images on a wide LED screen and discover Vietnam’s stunning landscape in bright, living colour.
Charity to celebrate VN Family Day with music
To celebrate Viet Nam Family Day on June 28, Hoa Sen Group will organise a charity music night titled Mai Am Gia Dinh Viet (Viet Nam Family's Home) on Sunday at the HCM City Opera House.
The steelmaker will donate VND2.1 billion (US$100,000) for charitable projects including the Binh Duong Young Entrepreneur Association's fund for building charity houses, Viet Nam Television's Beautiful Life programme, and the HCM City Enterprise Association's community fund.
The event, organised together with MayQ Media and several television stations, will be shown live on five channels including HTVC Thuan Viet, FBNC, Can Tho City Television, Hanoi TV 1, and BTV2.
Famous singers from Ha Noi and HCM City, like My Linh, Tung Duong, Duc Tuan, Hien Thuc, Thanh Ngoc, and 5 Dong Ke Band, will perform.
Le Phuoc Vu, the Hoa Sen chairman, said the event was part of his company's "sharing happiness with community" programme.
Music night commemorates Michael Jackson
A music night themed “Man In The Mirror” in commemoration of King of Pop Michael Jackson will take place in Hanoi’s My Dinh National Stadium on June 23.
Moonwalk, spin, flute, dance sport and pop performances will be carried out by dancer Tu Michael, beatbox Tung kon, dancing groups Sacred and Big Toe, double dancer Linh abc and Quyet Kratos.
Besides, the music night will draw the participation of runner-up of Vietnam’s Got Talent Dang Quan and other stars such as Dinh Manh Ninh, Duy Khoa, Cuong Seven, Hotgirl Chi Pu and Trang Phong.
“Prison Diary” published in Bangladesh
The collection of poems, “Prison Diary”, written by late President Ho Chi Minh, has been published in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
The Bangladeshi version marks Ho Chi Minh’s 122nd birth anniversary.
Speaking on the occasion, President of the Communist Party of Bangladesh, Manzurul Ahsan Khan, praised late President Ho Chi Minh’s spirit of patriotism, loftily sacrifice and great contributions to the national liberation revolution.
Vietnamese ambassador to Bangladesh Nguyen Van That said the publication of “Prison Diary” will make readers, especially Bangladeshi young generation, know more about late President Ho Chi Minh and Vietnam and further strengthen solidarity, friendship, cooperation and mutual understanding between the two countries.
He described this effort as a meaningful activity to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Vietnam-Bangladesh diplomatic ties.
“Prison Diary” was translated mainly by Ovinu Bibria Islam, a young intellectual (born in 1986), who is teaching at a university in Jessore city.
In February 2012, the book “Biography and Cause of President Ho Chi Minh” was reprinted for the fifth time in Bangladesh.
Long An Poems: 30 years of emotional contribution by authors
The Ho Chi Minh City Arts Publishing House has published anthologies on Long An Province for the last 30 years, from 1975 to 2005, compiled by the Union of Arts and Literature in the southern province of Long An.
“Collection of Long An Poems” introduced 81 authors, poets, and journalists who participated in the last War against America fought on Long An soil, showing their deep attachment to the land, and love for the people of Vietnam. Tran The Tuyen, Khuyenh Diep, Mac Tuyen, Vuong Thua Binh, High Cao Thoai Chau, Diep Vam Co, Nguyen Quang Thong, Le Hoang Dung, Dinh Thi Thu Van, Hoai Van, Hoai Vu, are just some of the names who have contributed to the collection of poems.
Long An Province is the southwest gateway to Ho Chi Minh City and is considered the land of emotional feelings, a source of endless inspiration for poetry, music and the creative arts.
Musician Truong Quang Loc who was not born and raised in Long An Province, has still written emotionally of poets born on this alluvial land for the past many years.
Truong Quang Loc, like many other musicians continues to set the collection of poems in the anthologies to strains of music.
Recently he has also composed new songs, “Mother of Long An Land” based on a poem by Le Hoang Dung, that describes the salty taste of the Vam Co River, situated in the heart of Long An, offering a heart that is ready to love.
With such creativity and sensitivity, the authors have created a unique style in music and art in the “Collection of Long An Poems”.
