While Radai is a painter from the Netherlands, she was born in Hungary. Her family lived in Ha Noi between 1973 and 1975, a period that provided her with amazing childhood memories. The cultural clash she experienced made a profound and lasting impact on her. Now, after 38 years she is back in Viet Nam as a resident artist at NameArtSpace, working on different projects.
The painter will talk about her own work as well as her fellow artists in the Netherlands, Miloushka Bokma (photographer/video artist), Lon Godin (painter), Frans van Lent (performance artist/video artist), and Mark van den Berg (filmmaker/writer).
The talk will start at 6pm at the Goethe Institute Ha Noi, 56-58 Nguyen Thai Hoc Street. Entry is free.
