The government is determined to deal with the case in compliance with the law and ensure lawful rights of enterprises and consumers.
Sharp Electronics Vietnam has once again sent a letter of denunciation to six ministries and agencies, accusing local electronics company Asanzo Vietnam of falsifying documents.
Asanzo only assembles products instead of manufacturing them, because the added value created after assembling accounts for just 1 – 2% of the total cost of a product, while accessories and components imported from abroad make up the rest.

Given the varying criteria and rules on origins, it is possible that local electronics producer Asanzo Vietnam had legally identified its products as “Made in Vietnam,” said lawyer Tran Ngoc Trung from law firm Baker & Mckenzie Vietnam.
Vietnam has no regulations on criteria for goods to be labeled ‘made in Vietnam’, so consumers have no basis to distinguish ‘made in Vietnam’ and foreign-made products.
