Vietnam’s football community is set to welcome the return of the ASEAN Club Championship trophy, as several of the country’s biggest names gather in Hanoi for a special fan-focused event.
Quang Hai, Van Hau, Van Toan and Tuan Anh will come together in the capital on January 10 to interact with supporters and celebrate the arrival of the prestigious trophy back in Vietnam.
The Shopee Cup, awarded to the champions of the ASEAN Club Championship, will be unveiled at 11 a.m. on January 10 at AEON Mall Long Bien in Hanoi. The event is designed as a dedicated celebration for Vietnamese fans.
Notably, four Vietnamese football stars will attend the occasion. Quang Hai and Van Hau currently represent CAHN (Hanoi Police) FC, while Van Toan and Tuan Anh play for Thep Xanh Nam Dinh FC. All four are expected to take part in fan interactions throughout the event.
This marks the second consecutive year that the Shopee Cup has toured Vietnam. The trophy is handcrafted by world-renowned silversmith Thomas Lyte and is regarded as one of the most prestigious symbols in Southeast Asian club football.
Throughout January 10, the trophy will be displayed at the central atrium on the first floor of AEON Mall Long Bien. Fans will have the rare opportunity to admire the trophy up close and take photographs with the emblem that will be lifted by the regional champions in May.
After its stop in Hanoi, the Shopee Cup will continue its journey to Thailand and Malaysia as part of its regional promotional tour.
The group stage of the 2025–26 ASEAN Club Championship features 12 of the strongest clubs in Southeast Asia, all competing for the title of ASEAN club champions.
Matches in the group stage are played in a home-and-away format and will run until February 5. The tournament then moves into the semifinals and finals, which will also be contested over two legs from May 6 to May 27.
At present, Vietnam has two representatives in the competition, CAHN and Thep Xanh Nam Dinh, both of whom are showing encouraging form this season.
CAHN have collected four points from three matches and currently sit fourth in Group A. Meanwhile, Thep Xanh Nam Dinh are leading Group B after winning all three of their matches to date.
