The Japan Foundation Asia Center and Vietnam Television (VTV) will host the “ASEAN-Japan Music Festival 2019 in Vietnam - Prayer for Peace” at 8pm on July 28 at Hanoi’s National Convention Center.
The program is produced and directed by the Vietnam-Japan Special Friendship Ambassador and ASEAN-Japan Special Friendship Ambassador, Mr. Ryotaro Sugi, and features an attractive line-up of renowned young pop singers from Japan, Vietnam and elsewhere in ASEAN, such as Noo Phuoc Thinh, Dong Nhi and Trong Hieu (Vietnam), Exile Atsushi, Kumi Koda and Daichi Miura (Japan), Fakhrul Razi (Brunei), Andien (Indonesia), Alexandra Bounxouei (Laos), Sai Kham Leng (Myanmar), and New Jiew (Thailand).
This festival is within the “Asian Resonance 2019” cultural series organized by the Japan Foundation Asia Center’s Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam. It’s also a special event to celebrate “ASEAN- Japanese Day”, initiated by Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe at the Japan-ASEAN Summit last year.
“We hope that, through contemporary pop music exchanges, ASEAN countries will understand each other better, thereby promoting mutual cooperation in the future,” a representative from the Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam said.
The music festival will also be broadcast on VTV.
Free tickets (limited to two per person) will be available from 8.30am to 6pm on July 20 at the Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam, 27 Quang Trung St., Hoan Kiem District in Hanoi. VN Economic Times
