Sixteen teams are competing at the Asian Men’s Club Volleyball Championship, August 13-21 in Taipei, vying for victory and a berth at the FIVB Volleyball Men’s Club World Championship later this year in Brazil.

In its first pool round-robin preliminary matchup, the Vietnam team from Trang An, Ninh Binh – grouped in pool D – lost in three straight sets to Pavlodar from Kazakhstan 21-25, 17-25, 19-25.

In the second round on August 14, the club will face off against BAIC Motor from China.
