VietNamNet Bridge – Nearly 400 athletes will take part in the National Athletics Championships at the HCM City Thong Nhat Stadium from October 9-13.

Participants coming from 44 cities and provinces will compete in 50 categories for both women's and men's individual and team events.

Other athletes will compete under the names of their local teams.

Olympic qualifier Nguyen Thi Huyen of Nam Dinh will run in the women's 400m, 400m hurdles and 4x400m events.

Further, Nguyen Thi Thanh Phuc of Da Nang will defend her title in the women's 20km walk event.

Also, Southeast Asian Games champions Le Trong Hinh and Nguyen Van Hue will take part in the men's 200m and decathlon events, respectively.
