The Young War Elephants entered the semi-final as one of the tournament favorites and quickly demonstrated the gap in quality. Thailand controlled possession, built attacks with composure and repeatedly tested Cambodia's back line.
After sustained pressure, Natthakit opened the scoring in the 32nd minute, giving Thailand a deserved lead. The goal allowed the Thai side to play with greater confidence, while Cambodia struggled to create meaningful opportunities in response.
Thailand doubled their advantage deep into first-half stoppage time when Itthimon found the net, putting his side firmly in control heading into the break.
Cambodia's task became even more difficult in the 60th minute when Noem Ovanda received a second yellow card and was sent off. With a numerical advantage, Thailand dominated proceedings and continued to dictate the tempo.
Itthimon completed his brace in the 81st minute before Cambodia defender Sean Udom inadvertently turned the ball into his own net seven minutes later, sealing a comprehensive 4-0 victory.
Thailand will now face Australia in the ASEAN U19 Championship final, while Indonesia and Cambodia will meet in the third-place playoff.
