VietNamNet Bridge – Seven leading agronomists of Vietnam will receive medals granted by Australia’s Crawford Fund for their great contribution to develop agriculture, forestry and fisheries in Vietnam.

 

The medals will be presented by the Australian Ambassador to Vietnam, Allaster Cox. The award ceremony will have the presence of nine Australian agronomists, some of them worked in Vietnam.

 

According to John Kerin, the Crawford Fund’s President; “the fund has sponsored training courses for more than 600 Vietnamese scientists in the past 15 years, including advanced courses on research management and short-term courses on fisheries, floral diseases, measures to improve productivity of crops, etc.”

 

Crawford Fund is a non-governmental, non-profit organization in Australia, which helps improve awareness of the benefit of research activities in developing countries. The fund provides assistance for training activities related to projects funded by the Australian International Agriculture Center.
