VietNamNet Bridge - Austria’s global love story TV series “The Dream Hotel” has come to HCM City to cast actors.

On April 27, Director Otto Retzer and his crew spent the whole day at the BHD Star Cinema in HCM City, to meet Vietnamese candidates to cast about 10 actors and actresses for his supporting roles. Singer Minh Thuan, casting manager of the Viet Film Studio, the Austrian film crew’s partner in Vietnam, attended the casting.

 

Apart from 10 actors and actresses, the Austrian film crew also cast over 450 extras for scenes that will be shot in Hue, Hoi An and Ha Long Bay from May 4 to June 2.

“The Dream Hotel” is a famous TV series in Austria. Produced by Lisa Film Produktion GmbH, the series has attracts around 173 million viewers in Austria and Germany in the last eight years, with two episodes every year.

 

The series was shot in The Seychelles, Mauritius, Mexico, Malaysia, China and South Africa, before it comes to Vietnam.

 

Each 90 minute episode uses a love story plot to showcase different cultures and locations around the world. The series is broadcast on German ARD and Austrian ORF channels from January to February.
