The Spring Festival at Ba Đen Mountain Resort in Tay Ninh Province opened with an arts performance on Tuesday.

This year, the annual Spring Festival has parking lots, ticket offices and other services arranged for greater convenience for visitors.

Tran Anh Minh, general director of Tourism Corporation - Commercial Tay Ninh, said the company had invested in 25 electric cars with 15 seats and 10 electric cars with 23 seats. About one million passengers are expected to be transported during the festival.

A 300 inch-LED screen placed in a conspicuous spot shows documentary films about Tay Ninh’s development in the last 180 years.

The company and the province’s Department of Industry and Trade also organised a trade fair to display and sell local products.

The company has been focusing on creating better customer services for businesspeople and investing in six free toilets for visitors.

Folk games and local speciality stalls are also part of the festival.

Nguyen Anh Tuan, a 49 year-old visitor from HCM City, said: “Compared to previous years, everything is decorated more beautifully and security is better. The cable car and slide services are no longer jammed. Many new games are interesting such as boating, water biking and water bubble.”

Nguyen Van Tam, a local resident, said: “Traffic jams and network congestion occurred regularly for several hours at the opening in the past festival but not this year. Before and after the opening time, traffic officers worked to guide vehicles. And the telecommunication networks also worked well at mobile stations. So, visitors no longer have worry about traffic jams and network congestion.”

Ba Đen Mountain Resort is located 11km from Tay Ninh City’s centre. The resort welcomes millions of visitors every year.

Ba Đen (Black Lady) Mountain, famous for its beautiful landscape, is the highest mountain in the southern region.
