VietNamNet Bridge – An one-year-old boy in southern Ben Tre Province' Mo Cay Nam District died from hand-foot-mouth disease at Nguyen Dinh Chieu General Hospital on Thursday, Aug 8.

The boy was hospitalised in a serious condition after suffering from fever and blistering for several days.

The province's Health Department reported more than 2,200 cases of the disease since the beginning of this year. Three of them died.

Doctors warn that parents should take children to healthcare centres for treatment if they have a fever, rash, are tired and lose appetite.
