VietNamNet Bridge – Two talented Vietnamese badminton players Nguyen Tien Minh and Vu Thi Trang are set to compete at Rio 2016 Summer Olympics, heard a press conference on May 30 in Hanoi.

Nguyen Tien Minh ranked 17 among 37 finalists for the Olympic Games, becoming the first Vietnamese athlete to participate in the three consecutive Olympic Games in 2008, 2012 and 2016.

Tien Minh pledged his best efforts to have his name listed in the quarterfinal.

Meanwhile, Vu Thi Trang came in the 25th place out of 38 athletes selected for Rio 2016 Olympics.

Both are preparing to compete in Hanoi Ciputra Badminton Tournament slated to take pace May 31-June 5.

They also are expected to participate in tournaments in Canada and the U.S. and get training in Japan from July 25- August 5 before flying to Brazil.
