Top Vietnamese player Nguyen Tien Minh has fallen two notches to 8th in the Badminton World Federation’s most recent weekly rankings.

His slide from 6th position was mainly due to unconvincing performances at the Korean and Malaysian Opens, allowing most of his rivals to seize the advantage with valuable points.

Minh is expected to fall further in the next rankings.

China’s Chen Jin and Indonesia’s Simon Santoso also lost one place in the BWF top ten, while Sony Dwi Kucoro (also from Indonesia), Japan’s Kenichi Tago, and India’s Kashyap Parupalli all advanced one position.
