Do Hai Anh, a 24-year-old ballet dancer, has become the first female contestant to win “So you think you can dance” contest after four seasons in Vietnam.

Anh got 63.83% of the votes from audiences on the coronation night in HCMC last week and brought home a cash prize of VND500 million.
According to organizers Dong Tay Promotion and HCMC Television, the 63.83% voting was a record high for a winner since the dance competition was launched.
Anh started practicing dance at the age of 5 at Baby Mickey dance group. She learned dancing at the HCMC Dance School for seven years.
She was selected to join Sea Choreolab’s Young Choreographer Project with Rimbun Dahan (Malaysia) art community in May 2014. In September 2014, she became one of the well-known Arabesque Dance’s artists to tour six states in the United States.
Anh now operates Unicorn Studio, a dance and photography studio where she creates her works of art and develops her upcoming charity project of “Art for everyone”, to teach dancing for children and adults for free.
First runner-up was Nguyen Ha Loc, 20, from the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho.
The self-taught contemporary dancer received a 16.62% voting from audiences.
Third and fourth runner-ups were 23-year-old B-boy Le Huu Phuoc from the central province of Quang Nam and Tran Nguyen Tram Anh, a 20-year-old contemporary dancer from HCMC, with a respective voting of 12.76% and 6.79%.
Do Hai Anh told audiences at a live broadcast program that she was grateful to all those creating a chance for her to bring the art of dancing closer to audiences and she promised to work harder to meet people’s expectations.
