The Saigon Philharmonic Orchestra (SPO) recently announced the festival, co-organized by the Hanoi Opera House and the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet (VNOB). Themed "The Art of Concerto," the festival aims to highlight the beauty of Polish culture, offering audiences the chance to experience works by some of the greatest composers in classical music.

The opening concert on October 17 will feature timeless works such as Neopolis Concerto for violin and string orchestra by Paweł Łukaszewski and 13 Variations on a Polish Melody for violin, cello, and chamber orchestra by Marcelo Nisinma.

One of the highlights of the evening will be the Concerto for Piano in A Minor, Op. 17, the only piano concerto composed by Polish composer and pianist Ignacy Jan Paderewski. This piece is renowned for its captivating beauty and intense emotion.

On the second night, audiences will be treated to works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Joseph Haydn, and Henryk Wieniawski. The program will include Bach’s Concerto for Violin and Oboe in C Minor, BWV 1060R (1736), one of the composer’s most iconic works.

With a rich history and numerous achievements in classical music performance, the Baltic Neopolis Orchestra has established itself as a major force on the international stage. The orchestra will also perform Wieniawski’s Violin Concerto No. 2 in D Minor, Op. 22, a romantic masterpiece known for its lyrical richness and powerful emotion.
