Seventy Vietnamese contestants, selected in preliminary rounds in Vietnam, Poland, the US and Australia, competed at the Miss Sea Vietnam Global 2018’s semi-final in Kien Giang province on April 5.

The final round of the Miss Sea Vietnam Global 2018 beauty contest will take place in the Mekong Delta province of Kien Giang on April 21.

40 selected contestants at home and abroad by jury board will enter the final round. They will join activities during the final round, such as visiting and offering incenses to burial sites of martyrs, Nguyen Trung 

Truc and Chi Su, presenting gifts to orphans in Phat Quang School, visiting U Minh Thuong revolutionary base and promoting tourism and cultural products of Kien Giang province.

The beauty contest aims to promote and honor the beauty of Vietnamese women associated with the beauty of Vietnamese seas and islands. It also raises awareness among people, especially the youth, of 

Vietnam's sovereignty over the two archipelagos, Hoang Sa and Truong Sa as well as the importance of protecting the national sea and islands.

Apart from the highest title “Miss Sea Vietnam Global 2018”, the organization board will also name First and Second Runner-ups, Miss Talent, Miss Ao Dai, Miss Amity, Miss Tourism, Miss Photo, Miss Party 

Dress and Miss Beautiful Skin.

Seventy contestants show off their beauty at the semi-final round in Rach Gia city. The pageants pose in “ao dai” (traditional long dress)  The contestants then strip down to their bikinis for the swimwear performance. The pageants in evening gowns. They display their catwalk skills in evening gowns. Forty outstanding beauties will enter the final round scheduled on April 21 in Kien Giang province.
