VietNamNet Bridge - At 2pm of the National Day (September 2), the fourth VietNamNet concert “Things Everlasting” began at the Hanoi Opera House, by the national anthem as usual, played by the National Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of conductor Le Phi Phi.
Following the national anthem was famous instrumental music works, by Vietnamese composers. Besides the National Symphony Orchestra, the show had the participation of famous instrumentalists like violist Xuan Huy, pianist Tuan Nam and pianist Huynh Son Thuc Anh.
After four years, the VietNamNet concert has become a prestigious event, which is warmly welcomed by music fans. This year, the concert not only had interest from music specialists, but also intellectuals.
Below are beautiful moments of the concert:
VietNamNet chief editor Bui Sy Hoa welcomed guests at the drawing-room
of the Hanoi Opera House.
Well-known translator Duong Tuong (left) was among the first guests.
Conductor Le Phi Phi conducted the orchestra to play the national anthem.
The stage was decorated simply but solemnly.

To prepare for the show, artists had to practice for many days.

Pianist Huynh Son Thuc Anh played Scherzo by Nguyen Van Nam.

After the first part for music, the second part for vocal music began by Dang Duong,
Trong Tan and Duyen Huyen. Dang Duong and Duyen Huyen performed “Truong
Ca Song Lo” (Epic of Lo River).

Diva My Linh sang Xuan Oanh’s “Que Huong Anh Bo Doi”
(Homeland of Soldiers).
Diva Hong Nhung performed Cung Tien’s “Huong
Xua” (Old Fragrance).
Pop diva Thanh Lam joined the VietNamNet concert for the first time with a
famous song by Thanh Tung – “Giot Nang Ben Them” (Drop of Sunlight on Varanda).
Trong Tan with “Tam Ao Chien Si Me Va Nam Xua” (The soldier uniform
mended by mother in the old days).
Nguyen Thao sang Pham Duy’s “Tinh Ca” (Love Song).


The concert closed by Hoang Van’s “Hoi Tuong” (Recall).
