Trinh Lien’s “Countryside Afternoon”. |
Despite the drizzling rain and cold weather, the Nguyen Art Gallery was packed by visitors who came to participate in the opening ceremony of the exhibition “Colors of Nature”.
The authors of the exhibition are a group of five artists: Duy Tung, Le Thuy, Dang Hiep, Trinh Lien and Duy Hoa. They are all very young. Except for Trinh Lien who was born in 1982, the rest were born in 1987 and 1988.
Like the name of the exhibition, each artist used their own colors to portray the beautiful nature. Le Thuy takes the viewer to a vibrant green space of the countryside, such as a pond at noon, a river bank, or a lush garden...
Duy Hoa brings about the casual space and normal life in the paintings that take yellow as the main color, such as “Farm,” “Under the Bridge” or “Working Site” ...

In the paintings entitled “Afternoon Moon” and “Countryside Afternoon”, Trinh Lien dyes his paintings by purple color, making the rural landscape lyrical and romantic.
The paintings by Dang Hiep explore the inherent natural beauty of the natural landscape. It's the gentle river and a bright sunny day.
Duy Tung’s artworks, with the brown and gray colors, portray the artist’s thoughts and memories.

All five artists painted landscapes, flowers and still life and used oil as the main material but each author shows their very own creativeness to bring the multi-colored nature to the exhibition.
The exhibition will close on January 18.
