Beauty queens gather in Hanoi for Miss Grand International 2023 pageant
The first group of contestants arrived at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi on October 3 ahead of the launch of the Miss Grand International 2023 beauty pageant.
Beauties hailing from Mexico and Brazil are among the first contestants to land at Noi Bai International Airport on October 3. Finalists of Miss Grand International 2023 are set to take part in a busy schedule across the country from October 3 to October 25.
A wide range of activities will be held as part of the competition, including a gala dinner, a Q&A segment, and a Best in Swimsuit sub-contest, with events being held in Hanoi, Ha Long, Da Nang, Hoi An, and Hue.
The presence of contestants from Mexico, Brazil, Cuba, and the US Virgin Islands draws plenty of attention from both media outlets and locals at the airport. The annual Miss Grand International pageant was originally founded in 2013 by Nawat Itsaragrisil, a Thai television host and producer.
Beauties share their excitement at having the chance to participate in the contest this year in Vietnam. The grand finale is due to take place in Ho Chi Minh City on October 25.

Brazilian representative Adriana Yanca, 27, is currently a model based in Rio de Janeiro. She is widely viewed as an outstanding candidate hailing from the Latin American region.
Cuban beauty Sofia Acosta, 26, hopes that she will bring home the second Miss Grand International crown for her country after her compatriot Daryanne Lees previously won the title in 2014.
Heather Marie Thompson of the US Virgin Islands is among the first group of contestants to touch down at Noi Bai International Airport on October 3.
This marks the second time that Miss Grand International has been organised in Vietnam. The contest was first held in Vietnam back in 2017. Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien became the first local representative to be crowned Miss Grand International back in 2021.
