VietNamNet Bridge – The festival for beer lovers, called Oktoberfest, the 19th event of its kind, will take place at the Winsor Plaza hotel in Ho Chi Minh City on October 7-8 and October 11-15.
The annual beer festival is held by the German Consulate General, the German Business Association (GBA) and the Windsor Plaza Hotel.

The organizing board is expected to attract 15,000 people to the festival, making it the biggest German Oktoberfest in Vietnam.

Coming to the Oktoberfest, beer lovers will have a chance to enjoy the best of German “Gemuetlichkeit” (Coziness) in a traditional Bavarian beer garden atmosphere, with traditional fresh-brewed beer, German food delicacies and German folk music. They can also take part in games and win attractive prizes from lucky draws.

The Oktoberfest 2010 attracted over 14,500 beer lovers.

Individual tickets are at VND600,000 (US$30) for a weekday and at VND850,000 (US$43) for a weekend event.
