Vietnam will celebrate ‘Belarus Cultural Days’ from November 3–7, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced.

Within the framework of the event, two famous art troupes, Pesnyary and I.Zhynovich, will perform in Hanoi on November 4 and Hai Phong on November 5.

The folk-rock band Pesnyary, also known as Pesniary, founded in 1969 by guitarist Vladimir Mulyavin, combines various types of music, but mostly Belarusian folklore with psychedelic rock elements.

The band often uses lyrics from famous Russian and Belorussian poets of the past. Among their best known song are "Kasiu Jas Kaniushynu", "Belovezhskaya Pushcha", "Belorussiya" and "Alesia".

I.Zhynovich, founded by Dmitry Zakhar and Iosif Zhinovich in 1930, is one of the oldest professional musical groups of Belarus.

The orchestra laid the foundation for development of professional music performed with folk instruments. It repertoire consists of more than two thousand pieces of Belarusian folk songs and dances, original works of Belarusian composers, Russian and foreign classical compositions and contemporary music.

The Orchestra has given thousands of concerts and has been a huge success with audiences in Canada, India, Turkey, Poland, Germany, and Rumania. In 1982 for its high level of performing skills the Orchestra was awarded the "Academic" honorary title.
