VietNamNet Bridge – A romantic story from “One Thousand and One Nights” will be told by the body language of belly dancing at the Au Co Theatre, Hanoi.

Five years since belly dance was imported into Vietnam, belly dance has been only performed at small stages, with single performances. For the first time, a belly dance show, entitled “Love Story of Aladdin” will be introduced at the Au Co Theatre on June 29.

Dancers from the LifeArt dancing troupe will use the language of belly dancing to tell the famous story of the Middle East culture.

“Over 50 dancers have practiced for four months to prepare for the largest-ever belly dance show in Vietnam,” said dancer Ngo Minh Diep. The most difficult techniques of belly dancig will be performed in the show, Diep added.

“We hope to bring belly dancing to the audience to help them further understand this art,” said dancer and choreographer Ngoc Han.

The show is organized by AMC Global Company and LifeArt Studio, one of the first and the leading belly dance centers in Vietnam.
