Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Tran
Ngoc Tam said the festival aims to honour local coconut growers and the
100-year history of growing coconut in the locality.
It will
give coconut farmers, and firms operating in the sector an opportunity
to promote their products and seek partners, he added.
Along
with representatives from coconut-planting localities nationwide, those
from the Asian and Pacific Coconut Community (APCC) and foreign
countries, which have developed coconut industry, will be invited to
attend the event, said Huynh Van Hung, Director of the provincial

As part the festival,
a number of workshops discussing the benefits of products from coconut

change will be also organised.
Other activities at the event
will give visitors chances to join daily life of local people and get an
insight into the locality’s culture.
