Berry pulled away in the last 10kms to triumph in the 107km stage from Vị Thanh to Cà Mau City with a time of 2:44.57.
Le Van Duan of VUS-HCM City and Do Tuan Anh of Domesco Pharmacy Dong Thap were the runners-up.
Duan holds the green jersey as the best sprinter with 83 points, while Nguyen Tuan Vu of Calytos Dong Thap has the white jersey for best young cyclist.
Le Ngoc Son of Gao Hat Ngoc Troi An Giang retained the yellow jersey with an overall time of 16:02.57 after five stages, followed by Pham Quoc Cuong of Calytos Dong Thap and Loic Desriac of Bike Life Dong Nai.
Calytos Dong Thap maintained the lead in the team’s rankings with a time of 48:12.07. Gao Hat Ngoc Troi An Giang and Bike Life Dong Nai ranked second and third.
This morning, cyclists will race the 114km sixth stage from Ca Mau to Soc Trang City.
