
The TTG Travel Awards 2015 took place in Bangkok on October 1, 2015 drawing over 1,500 attendees from businesses in tourism, travel and aviation industry
Vietjet is one of 16 new winners, emerging across various categories, to take home their first ever signature Hermes trophy from the TTG Travel Awards, which have been dominated by long-term winners in previous years.
The award highlights Vietjet’s achievements in providing the best services, the best network and schedules and for being the most agent-friendly airline in terms of reservations and confirmations as well as having the most professional sales and marketing team in respect of coming up with innovative ideas, exciting incentive programs and groundbreaking services.

Representing Vietjet at the award ceremony, Vietjet Vice President Nguyen Thi Thuy Binh said: “This award is not only tremendous recognition for Vietjet’s operations and services over the past years but it also puts Vietnam’s aviation industry on the regional and global transportation and travel map.”
“Furthermore, this is also a great motivation for us and fills us with confidence as we continue to expand the airline’s flight network and offer our guests friendly and convenient services. This means we will also be in a position to contribute positively to the development of the tourism industry and trade both regionally and globally in the coming years.”
Besides Vietjet, Vietnam also boasted two other winners with Buffalo Tours named Vietnam’s Best Travel Agency and InterContinental Hanoi Westlake Hotel named Best Hotel in Hanoi/HCM City.

The annual TTG Travel Awards has been organized by TTG Asia since 1989. The award winners are decided through the votes of readers of TTG Travel Trade Publishing’s print and online titles TTG Asia such as TTG China, TTG India, TTGmice, TTGassociations, TTG-BTmice China, and TTG Asia Luxury from May to July every year. These publications’ readers are mainly travel agents, tour operators, hoteliers and travelers.
This year the awards honored more than 80 winners in four categories: “Travel Supplier Awards”, “Travel Agency Awards”, “Outstanding Achievement Awards” and Honorary “Travel Hall of Fame”, covering services, products, organizations and individuals across the global travel industry.
Aviation is categorized under “Travel Supplier Awards” with nine awards, consisting of best airlines for the regions of North America, Europe, Middle East, Southeast Asia, North Asia, China, Asia Pacific, Asia and the general region.
Vietjet recently won the “Gold Award 2015” from the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) for its innovative and meaningful marketing campaigns, which have greatly inspired and contributed to tourism development in the Asia-Pacific region.

The airline has also been honored and presented with many more national and international awards, including “Company of the Year” in the category of “Aerospace & Defense and Transportation” at the Asia Pacific Stevie Awards 2015; “Top 5 Best New Routes Launch around the World” at “2012 Budgie$ & Travel Awards” (the UK); “The Airline with Most Culturally Creative and Entertaining In-flight Programs” by the Asian Record Organization; and “Golden Star Award for Quality” by Business Initiative Directions Awards (Switzerland). Furthermore, the airline earned a Merit of Distinction from Vietnam’s Ministry of Transport and Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for the last two consecutive years.
Vietjet is the first airline in Vietnam to operate as a new-age airline. It provides not only transport services but also uses the latest e-commerce technologies to offer various products and services for consumers. The airline also recently won IOSA Certification from the International Air Transport Association (IATA) after just over three years of operations.
Currently, Vietjet boasts a fleet of 27 aircraft, including A320s and A321s, and operates 180 flights each day. It has already opened 33 routes in Vietnam and across the region to international destinations such as Thailand, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, China and Myanmar. It has carried more than 15 million passengers to date.
Looking ahead, the airline plans to continuously expand its network across the region. To prepare for this plan, Vietjet has signed agreements with the world’s leading aircraft-manufacturers to purchase more brand-new and modern aircraft.
