VietNamNet Bridge – The World Bank (WB) in Vietnam and the Australia Agency for International Development (AusAID) on February 22 officially announced the five best projects to get their support for realising innovative learning programs in education and training.
This is the sixth time the WB and AusAID have sponsored domestic organisations to carry out education and training projects using inventive learning methods.
The projects will be conducted by the Institute Pasteur in Ho Chi Minh City, VinaCapitalFoundation (VCF), the Institute of energy science, the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology, and the Vietnam Cleaner Product Center.
Once completed, the funded projects will contribute sizably to the training and career development for 100 small and medium-sized businesses, and 108 teachers and 797 officials in the health and environment fields.
The latest technology in education and training, including online learning support and mobile software solutions, will be used in these projects.
Vice President of the Institute of energy science Doan Van Binh said that from March 2013, all funded projects will begin operating.
He said he expects that the project will help improve proficiency and working skills for officials in his institute.
