 New boss at space company

Nguyen Ngoc My Anh, born in 2001, the daughter of Nguyen Duc Thuy, or Boss Thuy, is no longer the CEO and legal representative of Thaispace. The position is now held by Trinh Van Thiem, born in 1978. Thiem was once deputy CEO of Thaiholdings and resigned from the post earlier this year.

Thaispace has charter capital of VND26.688 trillion, headquartered in Phu Quoc City of Kien Giang province, of which Thuy contributes 75 percent, or VND20.016 trillion.

The aim of the company establishment is organizing the first flight from Phu Quoc, Vietnam, after getting licenses from state management agencies. Thaiholdings has assigned the board of directors to help Thaispace ask for a special mechanism from the Government to accelerate the application for flights in space, slated for 2026-2030.

Boss Thang’s son leaves 

On April 12, the board of directors of Kien Long Bank approved the decision on dismissing Vo Quoc Loi from the post of Deputy CEO of the bank. Loi is the son of Vo Quoc Thang, or Boss Thang, Chair of Dong Tam Group.

Loi said he wanted to focus on his works at the companies where he is a member of the boards of directors and legal representative.

Loi, born in 1988, was appointed to the post of Deputy CEO of KienLongBank in April 2021. Thang was president of KienLongBank before his resignation in 2018. His son Vo Quoc Loi is now the manager of many other businesses. He is a member of the board of directors at Truong Thanh Corporation (TTF) and Chair of the Board of Directors of Dong Tam Mien Trung JSC.

Boss Hien’s son to join SHB board of directors

Sai Gon – Hanoi Bank (SHB) has publicized documents to be submitted at the 2022 general shareholders’ meeting.

The documents show that Do Quang Vinh, the son of Boss Hien, will be the youngest member of the board of directors of SHB and one of the youngest members of the boards of directors of banks in Vietnam.

Vinh has a master’s degree in finance and business administration. He has many years’ experience in finance and banking. He has been working as international investment and finance director at T&T Group since December 2013.

Vinh now holds some high-ranking management positions at SHB: deputy CEO of SHB, director of digital banking and deputy director of SHB’s retail division, deputy chair of SHB Finance Company.

Le Thi Bang Tam to resign from post of HDBank chair

HDBank has released the list of personnel to be submitted to the 2022 general meeting of shareholders, which would elect members of the board of directors and supervisory board for the 2022-2027 term.

Le Thi Bang Tam, who is now chair of the bank, is not found in the list.

The personnel expected to join the board of directors include Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao (who is now deputy chair), Nguyen Huu Dang (deputy chair), Luu Duc Khanh (deputy chair), Nguyen Thanh Do (Deputy Chair), Nguyen Thi Tam (member), Kim Byoungho (senior advisor of IFC) and Le Manh Dung (chief representative of DEG).

Currently, Tam is chair of both HDBank and Vinamilk. And she has to choose one of the two ‘seats’ for the next tenure.

Shark Louis Nguyen runs for post of member of board of directors

LDG Investment JSC has released additional documents for the 2022 general meeting of shareholders. 

Appointing two members of the board of directors is one of the item of the agenda of the shareholders’ meeting.

The two candidates for the post are Ngo Van Minh, Deputy CEO of the company, and Louis Nguyen, president and CEO of Saigon Asset Management (SAM).

Before he wanted to join the board of directors, Louis Nguyen did not hold any shares at LDG Investment.

After Dat Xanh Group, the biggest shareholder, sold all of its 63 million shares in 2020, and LDG signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement with SAM. With the cooperation, SAM will support LDG Group to approach Vietnamese and international finance groups, promote brands and cooperate to develop projects.
